This antenna implements Shakespeare's innovative filtering technology that helps get pager and Out-of-Band interference under control in installations demanding taller, higher-gain antennas. In busy radio areas like harbors, the antenna's filter can make a big difference in how much "RF garbage" you hear. Working with your radio's own rejection circuitry, the 5018-FLT can actually improve the fidelity of your VHF radio. Except for the added filter, the 5018-FLT is otherwise like the acclaimed 5018. Its highly sophisticated design is outstanding for long distance communications. The antenna is UPS shipable.
