TEST OPERATION OF UNIT - To "test" the unit when ambient air temperature is above 45°F you must simulate an ambient below 45°F. To create the simulation: With the heater unit properly hardwired to a 120V power source, locate the 1/2" dia. hole marked "Test" on the end cover of the unit. Using the 6 oz. can of Freeze Mist spray supplied with your heater, insert the "straw" into the nozzle and spray a 2-3 second burst of mist into the "Test" hole. This will "trick" the thermostat into turning the heater "ON". After a period of time (30 sec. - 3 min.), the ambient temperature of your test environment will resume control of the thermostat and turn your heater "OFF".

*Remember: The fan will continue operating for 10 minutes after the heating element has turned "OFF".

** The "test" procedure may be performed at any time to confirm the operation of your heater. It should be performed periodically, and at the beginning of the cold weather season in your area.
